Hair Cuts!

They guys needed hair cuts!  I like Mark's really short and Levi got one length longer then Mark but it's hard to tell.  Levi did not like it at all but he sits so still even though he was crying.
 Before and After!

Thanksgiving 2012

Happy Thanksgiving 2012!!  We had a really fun day.  It was our first holiday away from our family.  So we made the best of it and had a lot of fun.  I still dressed the kids up and we still had the traditional turkey dinner.
We decorated and created ginger bread homes.  This was very fun and I think it will be a new Thanksgiving tradition.
The kids got to make one they could eat.  I really wanted to make one to use as part of our Christmas deco this year but I knew the kids would want to eat it.  So I had them do their own to nibble on.  I think it's funny to compare Lulu's house vs. Levi's house.
Lulu took this picture of us.

Here is our little village.  Mark made one too and it's in the back on the right.  Lulu helped me decorate the big one along with the Christmas tree.  I had mentioned to my parents how I was looking forward to decorating a ginger bread house with the kids once we moved into our town house in Boise.  So they surprised us one day and brought home a kit for us right before our move.
Both Mark and I did the cooking.  I did the turkey and my moms famous stuffing!  She gave me a hand written recipe card for my recipe box right before we moved.  I again told her how excited I was to make her stuffing this year.....boo hoo since we weren't going to be with them on Thanksgiving.
Mark made the potatoes and green beans.
The best part was when we sat down to eat I put my laptop on the kitchen counter and we Skyped with my parents while we ate.  It was really fun.  Even though we are 502 miles away from them we still enjoyed our dinner together.

Grandparents

The week before we moved we spent a morning walking around our favorite nursery with my parents looking at all the Christmas decorations.  We had a great time and after we went to Costco for lunch.

We Moved!

A week ago today we moved from WA state to Idaho.  We took two days to move.  Stopped half way in Oregon to visit Mark's grandparents and they are letting us park our trailer on their property until Spring when we can bring it over the mountains.  We decided to move out of the trailer and find a place to settle down.  Being pregnant really made me miss having a house.  I wanted to know where I would be bringing our baby home too.  I also would love to home birth again Lord willing and we decided to find a home.  We also knew the Seattle area wasn't where we wanted to be long term.  It was the hardest decision we have ever made because moving away from my parents and family was not an easy decision.  Thankfully we are just a good days drive and not across the country.  It's still hard and I miss my parents so much.  They are coming in just a couple weeks!!!  We are counting down the days!!
Here is our town house.  We will be renting month to month as we learn the area and figure out where we want to be.  So far we like the area we are in.  It's very odd to look off into the distance and see the hills/mountains.  If I'm out driving and I'm not sure where I am I can look to see where the mountains are and know about where I am.
This is my mom's coffee mug, she let me take it so I can think of her each morning as I drink my coffee and during the day as I sip on tea. I feel like I have a part of her with me while I'm putzing around the kitchen.
We have a very nice thrift store right down the road from us.  Lulu picked out this darling pink wool hat and Levi of course got one too.
Here is Ila May on our back patio and you can see our small yet very private back yard!!  Behind us is an office complex parking lot.  It's very private and quiet.  We rented our town house not seeing it.  We of course saw pictures and they sent us a walk through video so we got a really good feel for the unit.  But the area around we were unsure of.  We did some research and knew where we didn't want to be and sort of knew where we would like to be and this town house was in the perfect spot.  We feel very at home and comfortable here.

18 Months!

Today Ila May is 18 months old! She is the sweetest baby. Ila can say, mommy, daddy, hi, please, cheese, water, cookie, yeah, peepee, doggie, kitty cat, and a few more. She repeats really well if I tell her to say something. She's tiny and is still in 12 month clothes. Her favorite foods are rice, pasta, black beans, fruit and anything sweet.
