Moving Day!

(Our rental we moved out of)

It's moving day!
We have lived in Idaho for two years now, renting.  We have found the city/town we love and want to raise our children in.  It's been fun looking for homes to buy.  But the really fun part is finding THE home and now moving into it!!

We Moved!

Just a quick update....we moved out of our townhouse apartment into a house on Oct. 1.  Our church family helped us move.  We moved about 30min across town from where we were.  We now have a private fenced backyard, a cul de sac to ride bikes in, a boy bed room, a girl bedroom, an office for Mark, a homeschool room for me and a great room feel where I can see everyone from the kitchen.  It's such a blessing and I love being in a home again.

Garage Sale!

Check out our Trailer Blog to read more about the sale and what we have been doing.
Thursday, Friday and Saturday my mother in law put on a moving sale for us.  We had it indoors and sold just about everything we own.  We did keep some things but basically we got rid of everything.  It feels so good!  Here is a progression of pictures of the living room and dining room from beginning (just sorting the things) to the middle (during the sale) to the end (when all was sold and gone).

A Tour

I thought I would post some pictures of our new home.  This is the home I grew up in.  My parents moved in when I was 6 months old.  I moved out when I was 22 years old when I got married.  Now at 28 I'm back with my family.  And it really feels good.  It feels like my home, but not the home I grew up in.  There are special things that still feel like my parents.  Like the dining room table and the hutch in the corner.  When I look at that hutch I think of my mom.  In it I have displayed some of my moms Polish Pottery that she loves so much.  And on the top is my Great grandmas tea set and platters.  I love that set because it's colorful and very feminine.
So here is the homeschool room/play room that is right off of the kitchen. The kids have a big table for crafts and coloring in here.  They also have all their toys and play kitchen in here.
 Here is the kitchen.
And a look back into the homeschool/play room.
Leaving the kitchen we head into the dining room.
Off of the dining room is our living room
Here is my desk, where I blog from.  I used to do this in our kitchen at the counter.  Now I have a nice place for my laptop.
Here is a view in the hall looking down towards the living room.
First door on my left is Mark's office, next to that is one of 2 hall closets.  First door on the right is the bathroom and the door with the mirror is our laundry room.  The kids room and master and another closet aren't shown.
Here is the view from the hall.  Our entry is on the right with the rug.

We're Here...

We are in our new home.   Here is my dining room right now.  We are in the midst of moving mess but glad to be here.
Yesterday we moved.  My parents moved early in the morning out of this house and into their new home and once the truck was empty everyone came to our house and it was our turn.
Here is Mark taking down the book shelves.
And below are the kids looking at the moving truck.
As the guys were moving all our things the kids got to play in the backyard for the last time...sniff, sniff.  We have spent hundreds of hours out here.
More to come....once we unpack.

We're Moving!

We are very excited to say we are moving.
We bought this house back in Sept. 2005 and it's been a great little home for us.  We won't be selling our house just renting it out.  And we will be moving 7 blocks away into my parents house!  This is the house I grew up in.  My parents have been wanting to downsize and move for a while now.  Next weekend they are moving to a house they own about 20 min away. Mark and I are very excited because we will have so much more room, about double the amount.  Now that Mark is working from home and we are getting ready to homeschool, a bit more space will be very nice.
Here is a picture of our new home.

Daddy's Little Helper

Mark had some work that he had to bring home this weekend. Lulu sat with him and helped him.

Mommies and their Babies

Lulu joined me on the couch to nurse her baby while I nursed mine. Mark took this picture and said "you need to put this on the blog." Lulu loves being a mommy to her many babies and so do I.

Grandma's Roses

My mom has a beautiful rose garden and we are so blessed to always have a beautiful bouquet of roses in our home during the summer. Usually she gives us enough for our dining room table, Lulu's night stand, our night stand and a few for my bud vase on my kitchen window sill. We love them!! My favorite way to display them is cutting them short and putting them in my crystal rose bowl that my aunt gave me when Mark and I got married.

Silly Faces

I had to step outside to this picture of Levi. This is what he does at our sliding glass door. He loves looking out into the back yard and he also loves to put his mouth all over the glass door.
Lulu and Levi have so much fun together. She points out squirrels, cats and birds to him. So, what are you both looking at today? Oh, it's daddy mowing the lawn. This entertained them for a good half hour.

For Sale

What's that guy doing in our front yard? He's putting up a for sale sign! Yes, in our front yard. We are putting our house on the market and today the sign went up.
Here's Lulu watching the guy put the sign up. Last night Mark put a wood stake in the ground to show where we wanted the sign to go. Lulu was very concerned because the guy took that wood stake out and tossed it on the ground after daddy had specifically put it there.
So, why are we selling our house? Mark and I both really feel that God is preparing us to start serving Him in some way that's not known to us yet and selling our house is the first step. Right now Mark is finishing up his BA in biblical studies at a seminary. He graduates at the end of this month and we are very excited to see when and where God takes us. There's a lot that we don't know, like where we will be living once the house sells but God knows and we are so excited to see where that is.
