Happy 7th Birthday Lulu!

Our sweet little Lulu turned 7!! We are so blessed to have such a loving daughter who loves to serve.  She loves the Lord and has a heart to share the gospel with the lost.  She can read and loves doing her homeschool activities.  Lulu helps make breakfast almost daily and can sew many different things.  She helps me stay organized and knows where everything is in our house....something I don't even know.  When she grows up she wants to be a wife and mommy.
For her birthday we got her a porcelain doll.  This doll was a fun surprise for her because a few months earlier she saw it in the window of our favorite thrift store.  The store was closed but we were doing some window shopping.  She just loved it and I knew then I had to go back when the store was open to get it for her birthday.  So a few days later I went right when the store opened.  There was a lady in front of me and she went right to the doll, looked and walked away!  So I got the doll and looked at her to make sure she wasn't broken.  She was in excellent condition and came with her original doll box and stand.  A week or so later we all went to the thrift store and Lulu didn't say anything but I saw her looking at the window where the doll was.  She was a bit sad to see someone had bought the doll of her dreams but she was ok and didn't think much about it after that.  So on her birthday morning she was thrilled to see the doll sitting in the living room waiting for her!!
For all the kids they get the amount of balloons for their age on their birthday.
The past couple birthdays Lulu has wanted chocolate cake and chocolate frosting.  I used to make fun themed cakes but it's hard to do that with chocolate frosting.  This year she asked for the same chocolate on chocolate.  I then said "would you like a surprise cake" and then she got excited.  So I made her a doll cake.  I got this doll cake for her 1st birthday when we had a luau and made a hula girl.  I still had the doll and cake pan.

An Early Birthday!

My mother in law Connie came for a visit and she wanted to celebrate my 31st birthday while she was here.  So we went out to dinner, came home for dessert and gifts.
They told us not to peek!!
Connie has a gift for making the most amazing gift baskets.  I was so blessed to receive one of her amazing baskets with a theme of cupcakes!!
I love how Ila May copied what I did.

Happy 4th Birthday Levi!

Levi turned 4 years old!!!  I think I say this every birthday but I truly can't believe he's 4!!!!  He is my most cuddly child and loves to give me kisses.  If I ask for a kiss he holds my cheeks and kisses me.  I can't wait to get a hug from him when he's all grown up and taller then me.  I know his hug then will be just as sweet and cuddly as it is now.  Levi is naturally a giver....he loves to share and he loves his sisters.  He asks to play with them.  Right now I'm teaching both Lulu and Levi to read.  Lulu and Levi have become closer these past few months.  Ila May and Levi are closer in age and have been best buds always but now I think Levi enjoys the things that Lulu is doing a bit more.  Ila is just tagging along with them both.  It's been fun to watch.
Levi was my 6 hour labor baby.  We didn't know what we were having.  We had the names Levi and Ila picked out.....and to my excitement I looked down and saw we had our first little boy, Levi!  So far he's been my biggest baby at 9lbs 9ozs and 21.5" long.

Here is his birth story and some pictures from that wonderful day.
My parents drove over for Levi's birthday and stayed for the weekend.
Levi got some really fun gifts!  Blocks, trucks, bathrobe, cowboy boots, coonskin hat and some other fun things.
While my parents were here we visited the zoo.  During the summer they have a boat ride that we were able to go on.  It was really fun.
My dad just had his hip replaced and is doing really well.  He's been very good about his exercise.  The kids joined in on it too.

First Trailer Birthday

Yesterday was Levi's 3rd birthday! This was our first birthday in our trailer.  We stuck to our normal tradition and had birthday cake and ice cream for breakfast.  I even baked the cake!  But not in the trailer.  I went into my parents house and used their kitchen.  I still haven't used the trailers oven.  It's small.  But I bet a cake would have worked just fine.
After we just purged so much the last thing I wanted to do was get a bunch of gifts for Levi....but we couldn't not get him something.  So we got him his first set of Lego's the 2-5 year old kind and they fit into a clear shoe box!!!  He got a new pair of jeans and a foam sword from Lulu.
Here is our annual mommy/son birthday picture.  I wonder how many more years I will get to hold him??  Boohoo.
 Daddy/son picture.
So now the ages of our children are: Lulu 5.5, Levi 3, Ila May almost 16 months.
Mark's mom got us a family pass to the Children's museum.  There are two in our area that we can go to for free now! And there are many as we travel that our pass allows us to get into for free also!!!!  This is such a perfect gift because for $100 (not much if you think about how much we will use it) we can get out of the trailer and the kids can burn energy playing and learning.  We had a great time.
 Even Ila May had fun!
Mark took a half day to come play with us on Levi's birthday.  Then he took us out to eat at Red Robin for lunch.
Happy Birthday Levi!!

Happy 3rd Birthday Levi!!

Today is Levi's 3rd birthday!  I say this for every birthday but I can't believe he's 3!!!!!  He is my sweet cuddly little boy who always gives me kisses and loves his sisters so much.
Yesterday Levi asked me "can we eat animals" and I said "yes, but only certain ones....we can't eat animals like dogs." Then Levi said "but we can eat hot dogs!"  LOL!!!!  He is so cute and such a joy in our life.  He is such a boy.  His absolute favorite things are motor cycles, trucks and cars.  He just loves them!  He points out all the neat vehicles he sees while we drive.  He tells me how someday he's going to drive them. Levi is a positive little guy and sees the glass half full.

I told Levi that I needed to take his birthday picture and he asked me if we could take it by the wheel barrow because he loves the wheel on it.  It was a bit sunny so I then took another by the garden.
