Fire Day
Today we went on a tour of a new fire station in our area. They had it all set up for tours and for kids to climb and play in the trucks. My mom found two really fun fire hats earlier in the week for Lulu and Levi to wear.
Here is everyone walking to the fire station. Lulu had been wearing her hat since the moment she woke up this morning.
Levi LOVED sitting in the trucks. Lulu enjoyed it too.
Then they got to climb up onto this truck. It had a surf board and paddle on it. We're thinking it's for water rescue???? We do have a lot of water around here.

Then we took the tour of the new station. We got to see where the firefighters sleep, eat, play and do laundry. It was really neat to see the living quarters. Here is Levi meeting a real fireman!
Here we are in the kitchen. While we were in there, there was a fireman that was cooking himself some breakfast. So my dad started talking to him about who does the cooking and the dishes. We even got to open up the 4 refrigerators to see what they all like to eat. Lot's of ice cream!

Five Months
Today Ila May is 5 months old. She weighs about 14lbs. She likes being in the walker scooting around the house. She's been waking 1 or 2 times at night to nurse. This is something new. But I'm actually happy to wake up in the middle of the night and have that special time with her while everyone in the house is sleeping. When I was pregnant with her that's one of the things I was looking forward too. But then she slept the entire night from day one and I didn't get that time with her. So now at 5 months I get to enjoy the night feedings. She's been drooling like crazy and biting everything that she can, so I know she's working on some teeth but none have come through yet.

Oak Harbor Trip
Today we had such a fun day meeting some friends that I met on a Christian parenting forum. We have gotten to know each other for a few years now and today our families actually got to meet. We drove up to Oak Harbor, WA to Peter and Angel's home. Peter is in the black coat and Angel has her arms around the girls. Christy is from Missouri and drove out to WA to see family in the area. She is on the end holding her little guy. There were 3 families in total. Ten children and one on the way for my friend Christy, her 5th!
Here is Lulu and Levi waiting for the ferry boat to dock so we could load.
Here we are riding the ferry boat. A first for all the kids!
Then a nice lady offered to take our picture with Mark in it. Christy's husband had to stay back in Missouri for work. Hopefully we can meet him next time.
Peter and Angel put on a wonderful lunch for us. You can see more on Angel's blog HERE. Her blog is amazing! She has some wonderful recipes and always has something encouraging to share. She has a knack for making things beautiful and adding the extra touches to make others feel so special. That's exactly what she did for all of us today.
Here are all the girls.
The men!
We had a beautiful day! I wish we lived closer to these families. Thanks Peter and Angel for welcoming us into your home.
