Our Sweet Silas

Friday, March 28th 2014 we took Silas to the doctor for a cough.  I had a feeling it might have turned into pneumonia and I was right.  They sent us to the ER for a chest X-ray.  While we were there they decided to admit Silas because his oxygen level was too low.  It was around 86-89.  Once we got up to our room the doctor came in and listened to Silas and heard a heart murmur.  He ordered a echocardiogram.  Later that evening the cardiologist came in and shared with me that Silas has 3 congenital heart defects and needs open heart surgery.  We have to go out of state to WA for this surgery since Boise doesn't do this type of surgery.  Such a blessing because my parents live 30min away from the hospital Silas will be at and will be able to help watch the kids.
I will update more as we go.

An Early Birthday!

My mother in law Connie came for a visit and she wanted to celebrate my 31st birthday while she was here.  So we went out to dinner, came home for dessert and gifts.
They told us not to peek!!
Connie has a gift for making the most amazing gift baskets.  I was so blessed to receive one of her amazing baskets with a theme of cupcakes!!
I love how Ila May copied what I did.

Shoshone Falls

We took a day trip out to Twin Falls and went to see Shoshone Falls.  This is called the Niagara of the West.  But not the day we visited!! It was a trickle.  But we still had fun.  Just Google Shoshone Falls and view the pictures and you can see the difference.
We packed a lunch and enjoyed a picnic on the lawn.

A Sewing Project

Lulu loves to sew.  She wanted to make Ila May a gift and came up with her own pattern for a stuffed animal.  Then she added some lace and buttons all while Ila May was napping.  When Ila May woke up Lulu gave her, her special gift.
