Welcome Isaac Mark

Our 5th baby was born May 23, 2016.
My water broke Sunday morning the 22nd and Isaac was born at home very early on Monday morning the 23rd at 3:46am! I still don't know if my labor was 18 hours or just an hour.  My contractions didn't start until about an hour before he was born.  Isaac's birth was the longest yet fastest I have had so far.

Hello! Back to Blog Land.

October 31st in our home is Reformation Day!  One game we have played for I think 7 or 8 years now is Pin the Beard on the Theologian.  This year Levi colored our theologian!
My amazing parents joined us for the fun activities.  We did come coloring, lots of games, ate way too much fun sized candy and had a great dinner followed by a movie about Martin Luther.
This game was a favorite.....shooting animals in the woods....aka on the door.
Looks like Silas shot a buck.
Good job Ila!!
Oh....and since I haven't updated the blog in a while I better introduce Isaac our 5th baby!  He was born May 23, 2016. My next post will be about his birth!
Here's Isaac at 5 months old.

August 2015

We did not get our boat out into the lake this year.  With our busy summer with the remodel I think it was just not something we planned for.  But we did drive up to the reservoir and go swimming.
My sweet friend Carleen sent Lulu a kit to grow her own butterflies.  This was such a fun activity.  We will be doing this again.  I think the entire process took about a month.
Once the butterflies were grown they kit encourages you to set your butterflies free.  So one morning we all went out on the back deck and watched them fly away.  They didn't just fly off, they sat on our hands and would fly and land on the deck and we could go pick them up again.  Eventually they all flew off.  The last one flew out into the grass and as we were all watching with excitement, our cat Mo ran from under the deck and pounced on the last butterfly.  It sort of killed the sweet moment of watching them go free.  Lulu was horrified by it but now we all laugh about it and so does she.
