Raspberries = Summer

Yesterday Lulu and I picked raspberries and a few strawberries from our garden. Then we sat on the porch swing and ate them!

A trip to Molbaks

Today the kids and I went to a local nursery.  It's just fun to walk around and look.  Levi wanted to see the little towns and trains.  Then I told him that was only at Christmas.  We love coming here!
Just FYI, these hot pink hydrangeas were the flowers that we had on our wedding cake.

Retierment Party

Today Lulu and I went to my mom's retirement party up at the high school where she has been working.  This is the same high school I graduated from 11 years ago!  My mom started working there right after I graduated and June 29 will be her last day.

Here is my mom's office.
Happy Retirement Mother!  I'm so excited to have you around even more!

Our Weekend

 This weekend we got to spend time with Mark's cousins.  They drove up from Medford, OR.  Mark and Brian went to a great conference while Ani and I stayed with the kids.  We had a great time and in the evenings when the guys got home we all talked and talked and stayed up way too late.
Here is Lulu with her cousin Ava.  They are 2nd cousins.  Ava and Lulu are a month apart.  These girls has a blast!  They played dolls, made necklaces, had tea parties, played kitchen, played play dough, colored and talked.
Here are all the cousins eating watermelon.  Ila May was not happy about me putting her down so I could get her in the group picture.

Roses!

 It's June and the roses our blooming in my moms rose garden.
 I got out my crystal rose bowl and filled it with some roses.  They all smell amazing.  These roses are the real deal, not like the "farmed" ones that don't smell at all.
 What do you think of Ila May's hair?  It was really windy today.  The wind was unusually warm too.  We spent the afternoon outside enjoying the weather.
 When I was snipping the roses I found a lady bug in one of the buds.  Lulu LOVES lady bugs and is always looking for them.  At the dollar store the other day I picked up some bug containers with a magnifying glass on the end for the kids.   Just in time for Lulu's lady bug.
 She also put the rose bud in with the lady bug.
 Through the rose bushes you can see Levi and Lulu hard at work in their garden.
