Sisters

Lulu and Ila May are 4 years apart.  They love each other so much and Ila loves to be like her big sister.   Recently I was changing out everyones clothes because all 4 kids seemed to have hit a growth spurt at the same time.  While I was doing that I came across Lulu's old night gown from when she was 2.  Along with it was a bigger one I had stashed away for Lulu when she got older.  Well it was perfect that Lulu's old one fits Ila May now and the bigger one now fits Lulu.
Here is a picture of Lulu in the same nightgown with the robe on when she was 2.

Cow Appreciation Day 2013

Today is Cow Appreciation Day at Chick-Fil-A.  Chick-Fil-A celebrates by giving free meals to everyone who comes dressed like a cow.  We love a good celebration and so we decided to dress up and go enjoy a free breakfast.  Moo!
Here we are getting ready to go in.  The kids were so excited!  Levi woke up this morning and said "happy 4ht of cow day!!!" He was so excited he got his holidays all mixed up.
 Here's our Christmas picture!!!
Normally $22.45 for us to eat breakfast at Chick-Fil-A.....today FREE!!!
Mommy cow nursing her baby cow.....yes even Silas was dressed up!
After breakfast the kids got to play.  Normally I don't like these play areas because of germs....yes I'm that mom....but today since we were the only ones there the kids got to have some fun.
Happy Cow Appreciation Day!!! Moo!!!!!!

Evening at the Park

Last night we went to the park.  It was a nice warm evening.
After we all played and got really hot the splash park was fun and refreshing.
Mark and Lulu really got to cool off!

Silas' Eye Procedure

Silas was born with his left eyelids still fused together by three different connections.  One connection spot came apart on it's own and two were still connected.  It didn't bother him and didn't obstruct his vision but cosmetically it was an issue and looked like he had eye gunk in his eye.  So we took him to a baby eye doctor to have it corrected.
Here you can see the skin still connected in two places at the corner of his eye.  There was a third connection in the middle of the two that came apart on it's own.
Here's the after picture!  It was a simple, quick procedure.  They numbed his eyelids and then did a quick snip and it was done.  He didn't even cry much.

Homemade Play Doh

I love making Play Doh for the kids.  It makes big batch and the texture is so much better then store bought.  It lasts longer too.  My friend Angel has the best recipe, it's the one I use.

Lulu's Tomato Plant

Lulu has been growing this tomato plant since it was tiny.  My mom gave it to her and she has been so diligent about watering it and caring for it. Finally all that hard work has paid off and she found her first ripe tomato!  And she said it was delicious.  Since then she has had a few more and has been sharing with her bother and sister.
Tomatos are Lulu's favorite food by the way.

Happy 4th of July!

We had a really nice 4th of July.  Mark took the day off of work and enjoyed spending time as a family.  Some friends from our church were out of town and they invited us over to use their pool.  Our kids haven't spent much time swimming so we were so excited to get them in the water.  It was a hot day too so the water was very refreshing.  We spent the entire day over at their house.  It was like a mini vacation for us.
Even Silas got in the pool!
We spent the evening celebrating with friends from church.  We were able to watch the big show in Boise from their home.
