Cousins

Here is Lulu with her two cousins Josiah and Kamin. Below is a picture of them 5 years ago when they were our ring bearers at our wedding. Wow how they have grown up!
For the past week we have been spending time with family. Mark's brother Mike and his wife Julie came to visit with their two boys Josiah (9) and Kamin (7). Lulu and Levi had a blast with their cousins. They parked their Airstream out in front of our house and we all agree that the trip went way to fast. They spent a lot of time just playing. Here is Kamin and Lulu playing Lego's.And here's Kamin with Levi. One of the days they all decided they wanted to bake a cake. It was so fun to watch them figure out what they needed and put it all together. They did a great job and the best part was that evening they got to eat their creation for dessert. Then Mark and Mike's mom came by. This was the first time since Levi was born that Connie got to see all her grandchildren together. It was getting late and trying to get a good picture was a bit tricky. Here is Mike, Josiah, Mark and Kamin playing Lego's. Here all the cousins are piled into our mini-van going to the store. Then one of the days we all went to the Children's Museum. Here they are in the tree house at the museum. Levi loves climbing on everything and had a blast playing on this fire truck. Lulu and Levi playing on the fire truck. Then we went over to the restaurant and Lulu made Levi and I some lunch. Here Lulu and Josiah are flying an airplane with Uncle Mike on the windshield. Levi got to try out the seats on the plane. Then next day the boys got out their skate boards and road and Lulu kept up with them on her trike. Then Josiah got to try Uncle Mark's long board.....surfs up! And Kamin and Lulu spent hours playing in the rocks and dirt.
Time went too fast and we can't wait to see them again hopfully sooner then later. We love you guys! Thanks for such a great time!

11 Months

Levi is 11 months old today. Here is a picture one year ago of Levi. We didn't know who was inside of me then. All we knew was that our baby was very active and very BIG!! I had an entire month to go after taking this picture. I wore him straight out in front of me and loved every minute of it!
I can't believe that Levi is almost a year. Time is going way too fast. He is such a happy baby and so much fun. Thank you Lord for our amazing, healthy little boy.

Mukilteo Lighthouse Park

Yesterday after church we went for a drive. We ended up in Mukilteo which is right on Puget Sound. This is a beautiful area and yesterday was gorgeous with sun and blue skies. Not one single cloud! Lulu has a little lighthouse decoration and she was talking about it and Mark said "let's go see a real lighthouse", so we got in the car and he took us up to Mukilteo.
Here's Lulu getting ready to go inside and see it. She was so excited and couldn't wait to go up to the top. We had to wait our turn because there's not much room up there. Only about 4-5 people can go up at a time. Here's Mark talking with the lighthouse volunteer. This light house's light shines for 2 seconds and then goes off for 3 seconds and the light never goes out. Here is Mark making the trek up the spiral stair case. Here we are at the top. Here we are facing the other direction. It was just beautiful. Both Lulu and Levi loved looking out at everything. Here is a Washington State Ferry Boat getting ready to take off. The floor of the light house had tiles with donors names all over it and I saw this one and thought it was perfect and so true. Here is the light. It's was like a piece of art. Here is Lulu enjoying the view. Mark went down and got a picture of us out on the lookout deck. Here we are on our way down. It's very narrow and steep, a bit nerve wracking for a mom. Then Mark took Lulu back up for one more look out. We had Lulu take our picture.......it's just a tad off kilter. Here is Mark, Lulu and Levi on the steps to the light house gift shop. Here is Lulu and I on the porch of the gift shop. Isn't it just beautiful? And to think we live only a small drive from here. I felt like we were on vacation. While Mark and Levi went to go get the van Lulu and I went down to the beach and tossed rocks into the water. We had a great afternoon.
