My 29th Birthday

Both Mark and my mom asked me what I wanted to do for my birthday.  I knew exactly what I wanted to do.  I wanted to take part in 40 Days for Life and go pray in front of a local Planned Parenthood.  March 31st (my actual birthday) was day 39 of 40 of the first campaign of the year for 40 Days for Life.  It was such an honor to be praying for the mothers, unborn babies and the workers at this Planned Parenthood on my birthday with my mom. My mom and I signed up for the first two hours of the day. It was amazing because in those first 2 hours we got to talk with 7 girls/women and 2 young men.  The amazing part about talking with them was that they walked up to us after we greeted them from the sidewalk.  Since we can't step foot onto PP property we weren't really sure if we would actually get to talk to anyone.  As the workers and clients parked in the parking lot we would greet them as they got out of their cars.  We would say "good morinng, how are you" and another volunteer who had been praying daily at this location brought roses for us to hand out to these girls.  Attached to the rose was a gospel track.  I was blown away because I was able to pray with these girls and share the gospel with them and they were so receptive and sweet. I really didn't know what to expect but I was pleasantly surprised.  The amazing part for me was to hear each girl (and 2 guys) we talked with say that abortion was wrong and evil.  They all knew and agreed that abortion kills babies.
The statistics that made me interested in the 40 Days for Life campaign were:
-Reports document 5,740 babies have been spared from abortion - and those are just the ones they know about.
-695 babies who were spared from abortion were  just from this past 40 day campaign.
-61 abortion workers have quit their jobs and walked away from the abortion industry (and that is an old number, might be higher).
-21 abortion facilities completely shut down following local 40 Days for Life campaign
-Hundreds of women and men have been spared from the tragic effects of abortion, including a lifetime of regrets.
The thing that gets me is how bitter and angry the women are who support abortion and PP. If you think about it they are so passionate that they have a choice to murder their baby.  That just seems like a very depressing thing to be passionate about.  Yet the people who are pro-life are uplifting and truly happy. They are passionate about life and it's hard to be depressed, bitter and angry when you are for something that God calls a blessing.
Saturday, while we were there praying one of the doctors drove up and parked.  She was so angry and bitter.  She drove into the parking lot aggressively wanting to show her anger by how she drives.  Praise God she was the ONLY negative person we came across that moring. Her job has got to be a very depressing job and it truly showed on her face and how she acted. I can't imagine she goes home each night feeling good about all the babies she's killed.  We continue to pray for the mothers, babies and workers at PP.  God hears our prayers and He hates the murdering of babies. He also loves the mothers who have felt there was no hope and chose abortion.  That's the good news!  If you have had an abortion God wants you to cry out to Him so He can give you complete healing and comfort in Him.
Many women who are supporters of Planned Parenthood and/or NARAL have had abortions before.  They feel that by supporting these organizations they can justify and make their wrong decision right.  Deep down they know that this doesn't work.  The pain is still there, the hurt will never go away no matter how many people they persuade to believe that murdering babies in the womb is a good choice.  They will never get to hold their baby and they know deep down they made the wrong choice.  I hope and pray that these women who are so hurt can help someone else so that that someone else will never have to know the life time of pain that abortion causes.  If these women really want to help other women they should help them to see that abortion is not the answer.
When my mom and I got home my dad bought pizza and cake to celebrate.  Praise God I get to celebrate another birthday.  Cupcakes For Life is a great organization that celebrates all the babies who will never get to celebrate a birthday because of abortion.
I want to thank my parents who have raised me to value human life.  I love them and I'm so thankful for them.  Last Thursday we went to my parents for our weekly dinner.  They made a special birthday dinner and again we had cake! This is my last year in my 20's!  I met Mark when I was 19, got married when I was 22 had Lulu when I was 24, Levi when I was 26 and Ila when I was 28. My 20's have been very life changing.

Kimmy.....your daddy here using your mom's internet connection. I couldn't be more proud of your passion for human life, and doing this great service, and prayer, for the glory of God...'PRETEND I'M A TREE AND SAVE ME'....that will be with me for a long time, and it is the essence of your message in front of PP. That poor doctor. Maybe she will quit this work and with her talents, someday, save others, as you and your mom were doing this past Saturday. AND..... to see the last picture of this post says volumes about your family, and how you and Mark are doing as parents. WOW! Love you. Daddy

I can see how close you and your mom are. My oldest daughter is about to give birth to our 1st granddaughter. I am so thankful that she believes in life and the One who gives life. Thank you for putting feet to your faith. Who knows how God will use this for many moms and babies.
